Is it even possible?
Its just one of those things i'd really like it to be able to do because i'd like it to be up all the time, checking for emails, but not on the taskbar...

Anyone?...

ello, i dont think it can be done through outlooks options, but i think there is a way todo it. Altering the registry somehow. Im not sure how, so your best todo a google search on it.

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

Here's a great little program.

The free version lets you customise what things go into the system tray, pretty decent.

Thank you for the help.

I found what i wanted tho, as i only wanted specifically Outlook to do it, i wasn't going to go for a program.
Found a registry fix which i'll paste when i get home tomoz. Just for peeps interest.

If anyone else is interested in doing specifically what i was after, here's the answer:

Open Regedit.
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook\Preferences
Add a new DWORD value and name it MinToTray
Set it equal to 1.
Restart Outlook, it should now minimize to the tray instead of the taskbar.

Same problem, different program.

Using "amsn" at work.

But with amsn, it doesn't minimise to system tray... i've attempted doing the same regedit entry with this program, but dont seem to have worked...
Anyone think they can tell me why and perhaps how to fix this?

Cheers
