IDE hdd & cd setup

hey

i have 2 hdd's and 2 cd drives and was wondering which channels they should be on to get max proformance with.

1 hdd has windows files and programmes on and the other has a nice big paging file on it.

should both hdd's be on serorate channels? or have i miss understod the whole thing  :whistle:

Put both HDDs on the same channel.  Put everything else on the other channel.  If you connect e.g. a HDD and a CD drive to the same channel the maximum data transfer speed drops to the lowest of the two devices.
