.ogg audio format?

Firstly it seems to equal big files  :angry:
Are there any benefits to it? And if not can someone reccomend a good converter?

Don't know if it was in either of those links (too lazy to check) but Winamp 5 can play ogg files (I think earlier versions can with the aid of plugins).

Ogg Vorbis sounds better than mp3 for small file sizes/ higher compression. I cant tell the difference for bigger files.

Heres an ogg file at highest compression. Its a few minutes long(i think) and under a 1 meg in size. Probably not a very good example. It was origionally a midi file

CDex can rip to Ogg Vorbis as standard I think.

Theres a direct show filter somewhere you can download so you can listen to ogg files in windows media player. Last time I used it it was a bit buggy though.
