Wireless isn't as good as calble connected networks for gaming. There is added latency, (ping time) due to the time it takes the radion signal for wireless to travel between your pc and the wireless router. In saying that, it is playable, but your DSL connection will play more like an ISDN connection, 35- 40 ms instead of 20 - 30 ms. If you you buy a wired mouse because you want faster response, then the same approach should apply to the network connection.

Saying that, I'm toying with the idea of that new Logitech laser mouse thing and that's wireless.

   ;)

The simple answer is no.  I use a wireless network for my PC which I game on, and it's awful :(

Yup. I bought the MX1000 - EXTREMELY responsive mouse!

Ditto, I used to use wireless. It was rubbish, stick with a cable. After much time and effort I reverted to a cable and my ping dropped dramatically.

I think the two threads about Wireless Routers and Wireless Mice have got confused.

Wireless mouse -> by all accounts is not a problem.

Wireless router -> by all accounts IS a problem (higher latency)
