Just went to join a game and found steam has managed to loose my reg codes, problem is I've managed to loose em too.

Question:  if I got a move on and bought halflife2, would that reg code also allow me to play cs 1.6?

The silver pack should do what you need IIRC:

Look here and check out the back catalogue - - I'm running CS:S, CS:CZ and CS from the Silver pack

I got the Silver pack. Good choice to be honest.
I was so damned right when i said "Dont buy CZ!!!"

Nope, the box with random junk is the Gold edition, if you're a stickler for physical confirmation of money well spent, you won't get it via Steam. :)

i thought that if you've registered your games with your steam account then you dont have to enter them again, just download them off the server? or am i wrong?

No I'm happy to live safe in the knowledge that valve keep a record of my purchase on their steam servers, thus allowing me to download/play their product at any time.................
