Is it just mee that thinks that DA is buying bucket loads of crap from ebay and trying to offload it in the Exchange forum?

The motherboard I got from him was classed as "never out of the box" but the CPU mount was missing, the backplate for the I/O ports was missing, and many pins were bent.

I take it that TLs motherboard was a DA special too?

It would seem that way, either that or as he works at PC world it could be crap stock from them.

I have been suspecting and now am sure that he is getting a supply of kit from somewhere.  Certainly the AN7 motherboard which  he initially described as 'little used' but working was DoA, not little used.  He had sent me two mobos (the AN7 and the KV7) and both had bent pins.  Both had been cleaned and I noticed some evidence of longterm dust build up in a few difficult to see and difficult to clean places.  The CPU he sent me had a badly bent pin (which fortunately did not snap when I straightened it).  I therefore suspect that he is totally unable to judge whether something is in good working order, 'never overclocked' or anything else.

It may be sensbile to have a word with him and amend the rules of Exchange to ban resale (definition would need expanding) or activity likened to trading unless warranties etc are provided as per a proper trader.

I will think on it for a while and have a chat with Oldie before doing anything.

OOI the ram I got works ok and I'll be testing the 200GB HDD I got tonight.  Believe me if it is DoA or reporting lots of sector errors then I will be speaking to DA personally  :angry:
