Doom 3 Classic

Basically its a mod that lets you play some of the earlier doom levels in Doom 3. Seeing as Doom was the game that got me into 1st person shooters I rather like the idea of being able to play some of my fav levels again. More info here.

Had a go at this its nice to try if ya played Doom ....felt buggy but ya can do all the stuff you wanted to do in the origonal....simple things like aim up

The first level was difficult the chainsaw was not where it should have been :blink:

Yes I noticed that some of the levels have been altered slightly but this didn't detract from it really. Its a nice mod and if they carry on producing the maps its going to be excellent. It can also be networked which should make for great fun!!

E2L1 was always one of my favourite multiplayer maps so looking forward to a convert of that!!

Nice to know the mod has spread to these far corners of the internet

I hope you have played 0.25 and got it from d3files , originally fileplanet listed 0.25 as their mod of the month but infact had the download as 0.20 ....

Deathmatch will hopefully be in the next release but as there is so much stuff being worked on right now we really cant say what will be included other than a few more maps and extra weapon models (if we get a new modeller).

Anyway, I joined this board because my ISP hosts your CS servers and Im looking for a group of fun people to play regularly online with. Hope to catch you in CS on the servers,

Welcome Gazz!! Quality mod you have there, unfortunately I have 0 skills in the modelling department so can't offer to help but we have many talents in this community so you may find someone to help.

I'll post here when there is a new update, but it wont be for about 3 or 4 months due to the amount of work we are doing (or not doing?) at the moment due to University and real-life commitments...
