Was not sure where to put this post with so many choices.... so I decided here is as good as any.

I was just wondering, has anyone here ever managed to move their HL/CS/Steam install to another drive or partition without having to reinstall it all again?  I ask as I bought mine online and a re-install means a re-download.

Thanks

You can back it up on a disc and move it off from there.Go to steam select play games and then select CounterStrike and then right click your mouse button so you can back them up.

Good God it worked!

Nice.

I had installed steam in the new location..... then renamed the steam folder to steam.orig, then copied over my steam folder from the old location.......
