I've been reading on of the RSS feeds from an MS IE7 site, it's an interesting read sometimes from the perspective of the developers vs the sales pitches/media. I'm not saying it will persuade you to like/dislike MS, just that it is a different view and not watered down.

I have to say that one of the few 'bugs' I have with Firefox is that I have to manually download the patches. The red arrow works fine to tell me there is a ne wpatch available, when I click it I get the list of available patches, I can select to download - BUT, I have never yet had it actually then download and install the patch.

Maybe it is something on my settings.......?

New release of FF 1.0.4.

didnt show on my version 1.0.3, I have used the red arrow successfuly befor, but it didnt pick up the recent patch/update.

I have read the IE blog a few times. I find the comments full of ppl saying "fix x/y bug please". Tbh, i hope they succed in IE7 it will only puch other browsers further (i hope)

.....interesting - doing it that way worked fine for me whereas via the red arrow did not :blink:

might be you settings...
I just went to the update bit and it said I needed the new version, downloaded it, and then asked if it was okay to shut the current instance of firefox down so that it could install/update, which is duly did. It also left the installer for 1.0.4 on my desktop rather than deleting it post installation update, but hey

Red arrow never works for me for firefox. It does for extensions and themes but not firefox itself

funny thing is that about 10 minutes ago the red arrow appeared and It worked fine.
