HL2 question

Hi guys.
I'm trying to install HL2 but it keeps hanging around the directX thing.
It says this:

DirectX 9.0b
DirextX 9.0b is required for HalLife2

Setup has determined that you have DirectX version 9.0b or greater installed on your machine and will not attempt to update it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then I press next and it keeps hanging around on the DirectXscreen. Any ideas?  :dummy:

Another question (Googled for it but would like to know your opinions),
Do you guys still have HL on the Steamprogram or did you guys all delete that one allready from your steamaccount? It's 395 MB so I could use it for HL2 I reckon?

You have to have HL if you want to play cs1.6.
