I just got back into shooters after a long time and decided to get my hand back into CS. I got a recommendation from Tactical Gamer, as they don't run HL1 CS servers anymore. I notice all your servers use Condition Zero, but it doesn't appear anywhere on my Steam's game list. Do I have to get it separately, is it a retail game?

CS:CZ is what the bigger audience is playing these days. It's a different version then CS but with better skins and so. Over here in the NL it costs 20 Euros and I think in the UK around 15 pounds. Just get it. Tonight we'll be playing a bit on our server. I'm not sure what it costs if you buy it through Steam though.
It's nice to see we get a nice recommandation from the |TG|-fellas, they're not bad themselves aswell     .

To be honoust, I think CZ is worth the money. I prefer CZ because lately alot of people only seem to play CS:CZ.

CZ also has single player missions which is why they released it on its own.

Lots of history to that, but not worth getting into that right now.

Well steampowered.com says all the HL2 packages come with CS:S...

Correct, if you buy HL2 you receive CS: S aswell.
These versions are played the most lately:
CS 1.6: CounterStrike 1.6;
CS:CZ: CounterStrike: Condition Zero;
CS: S: CounterStrike: Source.
Most -=[dMw]=-ers can be found on CZ lately (if they arn't playing WoW or BF2).
