:withstupid: Yeah the new style of flag capping is a lot more fun, thanks for some great games tonight guys! Rarely is Kubra Dam that fun!

...and solved my lag problem, did a complete gfx driver clean up and reinstalled them again, and reinstalled the game on another disk drive. Voila!  :D

yup..t'was intense at times..

1st time on AAS for me & I was never quite sure which flag to attack or defend; except when we had a good co or sl and waypoints(or whatever the marker thingies are called)  were used.

Kark was particularly hard-fought, but may-as-well be called hotel, cus thats as far as both teams managed to get...
having said that, the yanks (BB mostly) were being quite inventive in approaching the flag.

judgement reserved on AAS... I enjoyed the games tonight, but for the most part could not figure out what was expected of me.

I can see how it brings more classes into action though...medics were a godsend on kark (they always are though) and support was really useful too.

I liked the mod too.

The game was fun, espeically the Kubra Dam!!

Penfold

I agree that the mod is great- however it would be nice to know more precisely the flag order. Unless you know the names of the flag locations it can be a bit confusing I found. It would be better is the next flag for contention is highlighted someway instead of just being told 'intake' or summat

That would bring a lot more focus to the game. Maybe we learn it over time, though.

Armitage

After playing the maps a few times. we will soon figure out where to go. but it wouldn't hurt for the SL's to highlight the target.

It seemed to me last night, the AAS mode lead to more infantry clashes. as the a lot of the vehicles were to far away. which I think is good.

shucks. I did try hard :)

It was a stalemate to an extent but maybe that is a good thing and showed two balanced teams? Dunno, we're all still learning but I do prefer the AAS mod to straight BF2 - forces people to work together more :)

Yeah. If we embrace the AAS mod I think we can improve the level of teamplay alot. Only problem is when we get back to regular servers and get flanked by flag capping choppers, say in that friendly...

I think the flag order isn't as such an order but more a single flag can be in play at anyone time.

So for instance, if no flag is under attack you go and cap anyone you like. You just have to do it before one of your flags is under attack from the opposing team.

I gathered this during the last couple of games last night. Until it became painfully dull playing the game. No one would go to the dam cap point.

I am not sure I get I but I know this: When playing Karkand me and someone else (was it monkey or twig perhaps?) was moving to the construction site in an APC to win over the flag. We had the hotel already. As the flag at the construction site was going down we lost the hotel. That meant that we could only neutralize the flag at the construction site, not win it. We waited around for 30 seoncds and gave up and went to the hotel.

Armitage

there is an order.

you get directions on screen to tell you where to go
