Well here you can read how "i" pld dust2 while i was in BoD.

As T i don't have much to say. As it all depends on the enemy and the way you want to play.

But it is smart to split up in 2 groups. The best way i noticed in BoD was to send one alone to B and pick them off while they flank the rest of the group at long A.
Or try to get into the middle and pick them off from there.
The rest of the group stayed at long A untill the one at B died or gave a call about wich bomb site is clear or when they need to rush in.

That was a much used tactic and worked against most clans. It only doesn't work against the clans who stay at the site's instead of walking around.

As CT it is different about what to do.

This can be hard but also very simple.

The basic was 2 / 1 / 2

2 at A 1 in the middle 2 in B.

The one in middle is the most important person of the 5. If he has very good sound he can even hear them at long A. This guy is the ear for the whole team.
As soon as he knows where the big group is he can call the rest of our own team.

Most of the time there will stay at least one in each bombsite. That to make sure we are not flanked or if the bomb is alone going to that site.

But the basic doesn't work the whole match. As soon you know what the enemy likes to do you can change your defense tactics to 3 / 1 / 1  or 3 / 2 or 1 / 1 / 3
Or the whole team at one bombsite.

You need to know what your team members are able to do. Put them on the spots where they are at there best. You can put a member in the middle but if he or she doesn't have good sound he or she is useless for that spot.

The start of the match:

Well this is very good to remember. As CT if you loose the first round then rush LONG A. But don't buy anything. You can hear them going short A or you meet them at long A if not you know they are going B and comming from the back will hurt more (most of the time) then you comming from the middle. They don't expect a 5 man team from T spawn at least most of the time that is.

I don't know what to say more as most of the time tactics are useless as it all depends on the enemy what they do every round.
Maybe it is smart to stay back or maybe rushing them works no one can say.

1 tactic won't work for a whole match use different ways against a good team.
When you play a team and 1 tactic works then keep using it untill they understand it and then change.

A little reminder about what i used in BoD.

QuoteK some stuff for people during a match on dust2.

Thnx to sli with some good stuff and you will read it in here

If you win the knife round go CT first. That way you can see how they attack and when you are T then you know what to do.

As CT:

with 5/5 i normally say we play 2 at A 1 in the middle and 2 at B
That is what i standard use. You can also do 3 A 1 Middle 1 B or 3 A and 2 at B.

It all depends on the situation you are in. So for the one leading the team choose the right one (the one you think is going to work)

Put the same people on the same spot every round, that is if you play a team that you don't know. If you play a team that you know and that they know us very well then change the people between sides as they don't know what to expect in each side.

Listen to your teamm8's and give backup when needed don't go in to fast wait untill you know where the bomber is!!! When you have 2 of you in 1 side then 1 of you can go and give the other side backup the other 1 will stay near the side incase the bomber comes your way.

For the 2 people in A.

1 in the side the other 1 in short A. The one in short A drops back after 20 sec if nothing has happend in short A. Also when you know they come short A then nade it!!! and fall back into the side!! When you fall back give the one in A the call as he can nade short A to give you some cover.

The people in A are backup for eachother so good communication between would be very helpfull.

Then the one in the middle.

He has almost the most important job as CT. The one in the middle has to have good sound and he has to know how to use it. He is the one who gives the calls where they are going to.

The 1 in the middle is also the one who gives backup to each side when backup is called.

If the one in the middle is good with an awp then he may use it. But make sure you can defend your self in close range. When you are going to use an awp it is wise to give a call to one from B to give you cover with an colt.

If you don't have an awp then stay near the Double Doors or in CT spawn where you can hear them going short A don't go hunting keep your head in!!!!! (that means not showing your head to the enemy)

Then the 2 at B.

Well B can be easy to defend but also hard.
When you ahve 2 in B then don't go and line up but split up but do it the good way. You need to see eachother to give backup.
For example: You have one near the Double Doors and the other one on top behind the boxes. That way the one can start shooting when the other one is reloading or just shoot both at the same time. In B you have to work as a Team as the side is small and a rush with 5 people against 2 can be hard but when you play as a team those 2 people can win it very easy.
Also make good use of your nades. A good nade at B can destroy half a team.

Also as CT when you loose the first round then don't buy anything and rush long A!!!! (thnx for that sli)

You can also use those rushes more then once as a long A or middle or B rush will help sometimes to get the enemy thinking about what the CT's are going to do next round.

As T you can have it easy or very hard.

First round always rush a side. You can rush B then use 1 flash only the one up front uses a flash the rest can use nades but watch out for the one in the little hallway!!!
Or you can rush long A then stay near the left wall as they will see you very late. With long A smoke CT spawn and nade the side don't use a flash!!!!

After that you can go and rush any side or pick them off or split up and see what happens.

What i like to do is give the team the call of holding long A and then 1 of the team goes to B and picks the people off that go to long A to flank the other team. But the one in B is the one who gives the calls on what is happening in B and middle plus short A so when he says rush A or fall back the rest of the team has to do that right away!!

As T it all depends on the other team how they play. If a rush doesn't work then pick them off.
If a thing works then go on with it then don't try something new only when they know how to stop you.

Every round counts.

Comms are very important to your team so give the call when you hear or see them plus how many and where the bomber is. Give backup when needed.

I dunno what to say more at this time. I hope this helps you a bit.

That is what i posted ages ago in BoD.

Most is known i think but maybe it helps to read it again....

DuVeL

If you have Doris covering middle with a scout, he can take out the AWP'er  ;) (except the one where he allready got headshotted through the door).
Mostly he just spots, shoots fast and moves away to check a few seconds later.

The last match btw I was covering long A near the box halfway CTspawn and sandpit, they never check it, really  a good spot for when you use an MP5 or TMP.
