My sound is all messed up. I can't hear my own footsteps/gunfire or what my team mates say in game. I have installed the latest drivers but to no avail. I have tried older drivers as well. I have turned off the 3d sound features in game and as part of the sound driver, stil no joy. I discovered today that this isn't just in CZ but seems to be in most games. Only recently discovered this as I do very little gaming atm.

Granny and eggs, but thanks yes I have and to no avail. Its an on board card. I'm reaching the satge of buying something or I would be if I had any money. Its a good job I'm not gaming atm really otherwise it would be most frustrating.

Silly question, but have you checked your sound settings in windows. Maybe the Wave option is set really low. (start, control panel, sounds, advanced)
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.

I would say remove the card and the drivers, before reinstalling, but on board sound :(  what can you do :frusty:

Buy a proper soundcard :lightbulb:

You sure it wasn't Tox or NvG messing about ;)

I write down everything I want to remember. That way, instead of spending a lot of time trying to remember what it is I wrote down, I spend the time looking for the paper I wrote it down on.
