'5 V 5' Mini-league

Hi all...

You may remember I suggested that we might like to do a 5 versus 5 team mini-league, with teams made up of Charlie, Bravo, non-dMw regulars and guests.

The feedback was very positive, but with the LAN party coming up it was thought that it was best to get that out of the way first.

Currently we are getting into the 'infantry only' format - and this seems like the ideal vehicle to run the 5v5 league on - especially as we are starting to get good consistent numbers on the server.

So, can I propose that in two weeks time we try out the league idea? (Admins - this will need your backing.)

What I propose is this:

1) TEAMS: Members organize thgier 5 man teams (the guys who were formally known as Prince - er, sorry - BIG, would be one team - so we need a Charlie, Bravo, Non-dMw (which could include guests or we could have a guests team).

2) MATCH FORMAT: We need to agree on the number oif games - 4 teams could play each other once each for example over the course of two weeks.

3) POINTS: We could either just award points for a win OR talley up tickets (this would be interesting).

4) DATE: As I said - if we all agree on this, we need the Admins to help out to put on the 'infantry only' AND a password on teh server at teh time of teh matches.

Please can I have your feed back...

If this 'mini league' works and people enjoy it - perhaps we could then do a seasonal league, playing league games once a week?

Hopefully you'll have a cool job when you've finished. I've got a mate whose a partner in a video game company - they created Black Hawk Down amongst others... pivotal games if I remember rightly.
