Here's something that may keep people amused while waiting for more people to join the server.

If there are just 2 or 4 of you, why not nominate a single flag to fight over?

This keeps things very tight - though, admitedly, the team that doesn't hold the flag will have to spawn at the last flag (unless you have a squad leader near-by)...

Also, make the game infantry only.

...

Outofsync and I had such a game tonight - just the two of us - Karkland, just fighting over the hotel flag.

Very enjoyable, hide and seek in and out the alley-ways behind the hotel.

...So, if you find yourself on the server, and there is just 2 or 4 of you. Try a single flag match.

(Not sure how this is affected y tickets - maybe you would have to agree to meet at a middle flag.)

Only thing I was wondering about the ticket situation was - if you fight over the hotel like we did tonight - then eventually the tickets will start to drop for the USMC team as they will be seen to have made no headway...

This is why I say it's perhaps best to nominate the flag in the middle of the map - so no team has advantages of having the majority of tickest.

Fair point but tbh some of the most enjoyable games of BF2 I've had I haven't been on the winning side. It was just great gameplay and teamwork, mixed in with some good banter and a liberal sprinkling of funny moments, sauteed in a rich UAV sauce :)

Ahem! Sorry. Got carried away there.

Hippy

I'd just like to point out (in a shameless, thread hi-jacking, spamming way) that ranger has 6.5 posts per day.

Sheesh I've only got a pathetic 5.9 !

As soon as I posted that I regretted it and then thought, ah what the hell let it go  :lmfao:

suicidal_monkey

just noticed...

1,828 ( 1.8 posts per day / 1.82% of total forum posts )

obviously not trying hard enough :P

Yeah - I suppose it doesn't pay to get too hung up on this issue...

The idea is just for a bit of fun, so it doesn't really matter how the tickets go - it's how many times you frag your opponent in devious ways that manners!

Best thing about the small map game is the hide and seek element! - Then suddenly bumping into each other when you run round a corner!

:)
