WHo mentioned Beach Head?  Sweet, that was the nuts, as was Kane but I've not seen the like since.

It feels like every few months I remember all this junk and think about sorting out an emulator. I got AIAB working but it just doesn't feel right. Any of you freaks got stuff working?  What I'd like is.....

I can't help you out with an emulator as I've never really managed to get the hang of em myself either, but what I can do is point you in the direction of a few sites to have a look round, I've found a few top versions of classics kicking about on these -
