Support...Too hard a class for me!

As I said in another thread - how do you support guys hit ANYTHING!?!?

In my search for a new class I tried a couple of games as support last night. Now while two games may not be really enough to 'know' - I definately get the feeling this isn't the class for me!

Several occassions I was no more than 10 feet away from someone - sprayed them and missed! (Only for them to turn round and waste me with one shot!)



I get the prone thing IS better...And I actually DID manage to do some MMG short-burst 'sniping' from the roof of the Hotel in Karkand...

But generally, in close up engagements, I found that I 'sprayed' too much, instinctively, as I jabbed the mouse button when I bumped into an enemy coming round a corner!

I did get a bit of a kick out of giving others some ammo - that was good. But I just couldn't seem to get the best of anyone who had an assault rifle.

Pity you couldn't switch to a three round burst on the MG.

Well this is one area that having unlocks does make a difference, ask Norm, he uses support a lot and is a good shot with the unlocked MG, its got more stopping power and I'd say is a bit more accurate. It also sounds a damn sight cooler when your firing at someone.

I've only triedit a couple of times and was so crap at it I thought I must have been a button to deploy the gun's bipod or something (like DOD?)  :blush:

And Dewey, you're right - Norm does seem to be rather adapt at it.

Close up don't aim the cross hair directly at your target :roflmao: the whole screen is your cross hair .Dont forget guys you are support not frontline,although I do like to mix it sometimes :devil: .Posistion yourself so you are capable of laying down fire to keep enemies heads down while the assault guys do the butchering.Not a glamourous class but usefull and enjoyable.Single shot prone is accurate,unlock is an evil bit of kit.Get yourself to a slightly higher posistion,this allows you to keep supplying cover for longer without your squad m8s getting a butt full.It does require perseverance as it is wayward but I'm sticking with it.

But I only play on TG and dMw. i have absolutely no unlocks. infact i have NEVER been on a ranked server...

Well I unlocked three new weapons and tbh the only improvement I could se was with the MG.Think its more a choice thing than an upgrade.The hardest one to use is the chinese one for me,seems underpowered,MEC one is the best standard one.
