Morning all!
right i've been having a sniff around , so far i have found my old copy of CS that came with half life.
So far i have found CS 1.5 & 1.6 and something called TCS. The last time i looked into this some would be using CS 1.3 and some were using CS 1.5 for various reasons,i assume it had to do with some of the features in the patches.
what i would like to know so as to avoid endless d/loads ,whos using what version
and what map packs. I did use google (coz he's my fwend) but theres alot out there on CS and the brain shut down after 4 pages of google.
Basically im trying to avoid another 3gb install of loads of pointless maps that players dont use or cause problems when online ( gfx artifacts and slow downs)
how hard is this on hardware/system resources?
does anyone use skype?
and is there anything i need to avoid because it messes with your install/playability
ie. Zone Alarm ,AVG and so on
Like i said i did some googling yesterday but alot just kept repeating its self and i got the dog with it!

I think that will do 4 now..thx in advance  +-
the link to the use of AVM sniper restrictions is down
She was only the Fishmongers daughter, but she would lay on the slab and say"FILLET"

We play Counterstrike Condition Zero (CS : CZ).
For CS : CZ you do need to have 1.6 or HalfLife installed (if I'm correct).

Hardware resource: CZ doesn't take up loads of highsettings and so. If you can play GT Legends and so, you'll be fine with this game...

We don't use Skype but we do use Xfire and ingame voice.
There should be a forumthread with all our Xfire handles (THIS THREAD HERE).
Xfire is a free program btw.

As for antivirus and so, the only thing when you install it will probably your firewall noticing CZ wants to connect for an onlineconnection. Offcourse let it allow to connect.

1.6 is still played alot. If you want to know what the game is about you could try 1.6 first and if you would be interested in the game called CounterStrike then I suggest you'd get Condition Zero.  8)

Anymore questions?
At your service! :)

I think the easiest route would probably be :: go to steampowered.com and download steam.
In steam theres an option to register a game click there and stick in your existing counterstrike key and steam will download counterstrike. Play cs1.6 for a while see if you  like it if you do then buy condition zero (which most of us play) from them(steam) for $9.95 (about £7 id guess and a 250 ish mb download@ a guess) or go to your  local  games store /play.com(£17.99 there)      and then....
download steam and register condition zero key through steam which will then download condition zero
You dont need to install the game from the cd (u end up with it installed twice) just register the games key to your steam account.

It wont let you play till its fully downloaded

Minimum specs for condition zero (from box)
win 98/me/2000/xp
P3 500mhz

16mb g/fx card

It is better that your pc specs are better then what that little box is saying ;)
