Using this does work, it works as a Lan game.
Positive side is u don't need a game on line code to join.
Negative u can not use a dedicated server so only 16 cars can race,
all so no lobby to advertise game.

how to use

dl hamachi and set it up.
u need your IP to give to fellow races go here
http://www.dslreports.com/whois
set up a Lan game

joiners

put your hosts IP into hamachi and connect
start GTL
muliplayer click Lan game
the game will show up here then join

I have used this and it worked fine even with m8's with out online codes

Maybe we could find a way of all getting together using this if the lobby stays down.

As long as you're happy, that's all I care about.  :)

Hey DM,

To allow me in the short term to get in some praccy before the evening, can you please put up a daily rotation of tracks in LFS?

This would allow me to get used to the track before the night's event. You guys know I need the practice!

Thanks!

It's not that regimented I'm afraid. As you know we talk on Ventrilo and by a general consensus, pick a track. My best advice is to learn on single player sans AI and get used to the handling etc. Try different tracks/cars. Come online anyway because there is nothing like learning on the job. You're doing OK anyway. Frankly, I don't like to give too much advice as that means, in no time at all, that there's another guy that beats me! Leave me SOME pride.

Just concentrate on being smooth and the speed will come.(So they tell me!)

Use half throttle for corners and coming out of them.
Only use full throttle on straights.
Brake straight and guide it through a corner.
Release throttle going over hills (if in slight turns).
Just because the revs are not close to the red line doesnt mean your going slower try changing gear to give more control and less chance to spin out.

Some rules i apply to my driving and may be obvious to most of you but i hope it at least helps one person.
