I just installed a soundcard (Soundblaster Audigy AE) for my PC.  Since then, I have been unable to use my microphone - when TS starts I get a message saying no driver available for use.

My mic is usually plugged into a Sidewinder gamevoice thing.

Anyone got any suggestions how to fix this?

First of all, check your normal soundsettings from desktop, volume.
Sometimes it sets itself back with the microphone to almost quiet.

After that, you got the latest drivers and so for the card?
Could there be something interfearing with the card? Like the old drivers from your previous card?

I installed the drivers that came with it.  I take I should check the creative website for more?

And how do I remove the old drivers?

First check the Volumesettings from normal Windos (usually on the taskbar on the bottom right side).

Maybe one of the uber techdudes can help you out a bit more. I only know the basics from what can be wrong... :dummy:

According to the Windows control I don't have a microphone setting!

:(

This is very worrying...

Sounds like your PC isn't recognising the soundcard and mic properly.
If you look in start, control panel, add remove programs, you should be able to find the drivers and uninstall them. Them re-install the latest ones from the site. It might be worth removing the card before doing the un-install, re-booting after, replacing the card and then re-booting again. Windows will then find 'new hardware' and prompt you to install the drivers. You can then point it to the new ones you've downloaded.
You do have the mic plugged into the sound card?
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.
