Got a message from Belz today asking if she might buy some cores from us with her dkp. As our stock is getting low now equipping everyone for BWL, I replied telling her that we couldn't spare any at this time. Just thought I'd let you know.

My reply:
QuoteHey Belz

Actually we don't take DKP for cores anymore, and everyone that has used DKP on cores are being refunded.

As for letting you have some for your equipment, we are down on cores after equipping everyone up for BWL. After ppl noticed the high need for fire res in BWL demand for cores have gone up again.

So for now at least I won't be able to give you any cores. But I will consider it once our stock is up at a better level.

I wish you all the best my dear Belz

My own view on this is to say sorry, but DKP is zeroed when you leave the Guild and you have none.

I also don't want to see cores go outside the Guild, we have few enough as it is. Much as I like Belz I cannot support cores going outside - and there is recent precedent for this as we said no to Shahin's request (as discussed in officer channel).

Well, shahin basically tried to TANGO us out of as many epics as possible before leaving. He was just gready. Belz however understood and I told her that I would see about getting her some cores if our demand and stock permit it.

Much as I like Belz (and I stress this point - all things being equal I would fully support her having spare cores, I like her and miss her), we need to be exceptionally careful of setting an awkward precedent.

Shahin is easy, he screwed us over (remember the epic drop he never wanted but then did in Silithus?) and I am sure that very few people if any would give him their support.  However, what happens if someone else leaves with a big DKP balance that we don't like and we refuse cores?  If we have given them to Belz it puts us in a very difficult position - the rule is either there or it is not.  At the moment the rule is there and I think we shoudl stick to it - we have an RG2 that will need suiting up shortly and we haven't even finished suiting up RG1, so we need to focus on those that are going to be here and in the Guild rather than seeing resource go outside the guild.

This is nothing personal against Belz at all, I am just looking at the long game - and for that I am sorry for Belz because people like Shahin cause sucha rule to be put in place and that hurts some people, but none the less, the rule is there and I think we should stick to it.

Hard choise, id like to see belzl get a few, but if we are going to set up a second raid group we need every core we can get our hands on. so if we are going to give her some we will need to at least wait a while

Im gonna have to go with the harsh but fair tactics, no cores outside guild. If we allow it for one, others might think we allow it as well.

We have plenty to use the cores for, i want a lot for my TB Exhalted rep f.ex, and that seems more important than ex-sog'ers that want them for whatever
