I am split on these, they look well specced and despite Gorion's comments I can well believe that running SC's RG2 under Bein would do anyone's head in, so I can believe their reason to leave.  I am minded to support their applications even though I do nto know them personally.

Anyone got any thoughts?

Yep, im all for the initiates and building the guild even better/stronger

If we invite new hunters tho, i would like my friend to get a shot on the application tho, since he was originally discarded because we didnt need new hunters

Padding, I'm all for getting people into the Guild that someone really knows, but you have to admit his application is not doing him any favours (I'm assuming here we are talking about DonnieKingo).  We're recruiting for RG2 and his response was:

Do you have CTraid and Teamspeak?: Yes (TS for listening only)
Are you attuned to Molten Core? Yes
Are you attuned to Onyxia's Lair? Yes
Are you attuned to Blackwing Lair? No

FOR DEFENDER APPLICATIONS:
Can you raid attend regularly our Thursday night raids? Depends on my wife and kid
Can you raid attend regularly our Monday night raids? Depends on my wife and kid But i will do what i can.

If he were applying for Soldier I'd say yes straight away, but they chap wants to raid!  We're after people who will show up to solve an attendance problem, I'm not sure that Donnie would help us, in fact when he did turn up it may actually cause us a problem, because we would have had to go out and recruit another player to fill the gaps to be sure that we had enough hunters.

I somewhat agree but the defenders where originally designed to be able to raid whereever they wanted and making them RG2 doesnt change that. I want players in the guild who are nice and friendly and because they havent excellent gear doesnt make them friendly.

Lately we where discussing the problems with the NG guys being impatient etc, and we are all pretty tired of that.

The players i recommend to the guild have thoroughly been instructed and taught by me the different memberships. I have higher standards than most when it comes to inviting people to the guild since it also my reputation thats on the line.

Lately it seems that all we focus about is what gear they wear (yes its important) and not really if they are nice people or not, and thats not always fair of the players who cannot join the guild since we just refuse them.

If we want a hardcore RG2 raid group and not a RG2 based on many players in the defender category, i think we should consider changing the defenders to another type of guardians.

For me it seems that we are trying to make a RG2 grp like RG1, but its not the same players. Remember that they abide by the defender membership

TeaLeaf

All fair points Padding and I agree with them.  But what it means in practice is that instead of needing maybe 1 hunter we take 2 instead as we know one will not often be available to fill RG2 - and we agreed at the start when we launched RG2 to the Defenders that we would limit places to ensure full raids.

I'm not against taking 2 in principle, you're right in what you said so 2 would suit if that's the case.  Eligible to raid, not having to raid, but we'll try to make sure that we get 40 people into the raid even if means we have some people left out.

All of the public applicants have had positive comments so they should all come in I guess.  Padidng's mate too.
