Cpu amd64 3500+ Venice Core 939
Mobo - Msi k8n neo2 platinum edition
psu - thermaltake 500W purepower with total watts viewer

what do you think about those 3 items? ime planning to buy them 2nd hand from a guy i know, only used for 3months

atm ive got some 350w psu an amd2800 xp and a gigabyte VIA VT8377 Apollo KT600

Depends on what he is asking for them.....£160 should be about right in the second hand market....and you should look to get circa £70 or upwards for your 2800 on the Bay to help fund the purchase as the XP chips are selling particularly well at the moment......new Athlon 3200's are being sold for £170!!

As Gorion is in Malta I'm not sure £ will be accepted!

The upgrade will do a fair bit for your system, but as for price it's difficult to tell as I don't know Maltese prices :(

he wants 70lm for the cpu 60 for the mobo and 45 for the psu

thats 175 lm >278Gp  hmm seems a bit pricey

forget this.. he is asking lm120+ for the cpu alone now.. and with 121 i can buy a 64bit 3700 new O.o

Go for the 3700....superb clockers particularly if they are the San Diego chips, although if my sums are right you will be paying somewhere near £180 for it.....much too pricey!!

Might pay you to get friendly with the British troops (not too friendly of course! :) ) as they can buy pc parts from the UK at discounted prices or use eBay with someone who will ship worldwide for a reasonable amount. Your Athlon 2800 will fetch a good price on eBay.
