Get it here

Installation instructions - download zip and unzip into

(your GTL root-dir)\GameData\Teams\TC-65\Mini Cooper S\

You might have to buy the car at the car-dealer to be allowed to drive it.

I would believe that multiplayer driving is possible if the car is placed in the same spot on the server - maybe an admin can try this?

How to make your own, based on this:

Not the best-looking ride, but this is a good basis for your own car.

* Copy or rename the '666' folder to your unique number
* Rename the 666_ prefixes on files to your unique number
* Edit the .car file and replace the two '666' references with your unique number.
* Edit the skins as posted ealier to your liking and overwrite the body-dds file.

Edit: Oops, left the wireframe on   I have removed it from the car in the .zip

A Twig

I think the wireframe looks quite cool!

Good effort. Which track is that?

Donnington GP.

Any admin who's tried adding it to the server and their own installation and see if this works in network?

Doorman

Added it to the server. Added it to mine but it didn't show up in the list. I'm afraid I've been spoilt by the simplicity of LFS skinning. It occurs to me that only people with your skin on their hdds will see it. Everyone else will see the safety car. That'd cause some confusion! :D

Well after you added the car to the server I can join the game and chose the dmw car. Works perfectly :)

Edit: did you remember to

a) extract the zip with the folder, so that you get a new folder called 666\ with the car files inside?

B) scroll down in the mini cooper menu, the new car is listed at the bottom?

Here it looks like this:

That said, cars works just like tracks. If there is a mismatch between the server and the client when it comes to the car it will let you load the track and drive - but when you leave pit the track will reload.

I have a feeling that textures have to be identical, otherwise it will do this!

Using the procedure we used for adding my dmw car to the server it should be possible to add the Renault I guess? Anyone?

Doorman

Right, got it! The problem was that until you click on 'space' in the car selection list where the car should, it doesn't appear. Making it look as though the car doesn't exist.
As for the Renault, it's apparently a bit more complicated than that. That was one of the objections brought up in the GTL forum.

Re. the Renault R8. I've tried everything and online is not possible. It simply refuses to show up in the available cars list on the server. Offline it's fine. Never mind eh?
