New folks applications

Just a question,

I see 14 applications from all kinds of classes, do they all get invited? I know we can give some comments about the persons we have some experience with, but then the application will be judged by the officers and that is based on what is wrote down by other guildies, or is it basses on class need?

Just curisous......

And to be fair, yes I was one of those who selected to stop recruiting people.....

That option has been ruled out by the continuing failure to attend by a substantial proportionof raiding members. I had that opinion too until I saw the evidence and also saw the total lack of response to pleas for higher attendance.

The Officers judge the applications based on class need, not just on the quality of the applicant, attitude and what we know about him or her. We don't just recruit because someone has leet gear. We try to find the best match for the need the Guild has and recruit to fill that position with the best match we can find.

Adding to that, if accepted they get a months trail, and after the trail the member is reconsiderd based on rank (attendance), other feedback, and actions over said month

Based on other feedback....

How does this feedback get together? Let's say I feel the need to say something I experienced should I turn me to an officer or PM him/her on this forum? Or is the class leader called for some feedback.....

I just try to get to know the complete proces for recruitment.

I was initiate for like 1 month, after that I became defender.... But is this choice made based on 1 guy/girl liffting his tumbs up or are more people querried for this?

PS: Knowing how it works enables me to give comment and be a contribution to the system.

Yep, any PM thats given to me, another fieldmarshal or marshal will be posted about, or talked over on our private forums/TS. The applications that are up in the applications forum are also moved there for furture consulting should it be needed.

Usually people get to stay or get kicked depending on my mood for the day. I have this huge chair that I sit in and I just give the judgements on the fly as Teaelle reads the names. Kind of like in the Coloseum :devil:

Now then id like to use this topic to poke members to look over the new applications and note there is 2 pages of them, we would like to know if you know any, both good or bad.

How about PM members that are said to be sponsors and or affiliates/known.

Many people say like WTF when they see the application.

That would create quite a lot of extra and unneccesary work for the officers...

And I don't think anybody should have much problems skipping by the applications forum - I do so whenever there's something new. Now I don't bother to read 'em all in detali (unless there's somebody that seems very interesting), but I do it to check if somebody has added me as sponsor or say that they know me. That won't take you more than < 1 minute :smile:
