I need a broadband connection and guess PlusNet sounds as good as any ???

(anyone got a better one)?

Anyone else got it here? If so, why don't they refer me and claim the referral fee?

Not sure how much it is but may be worthwhile

Let me know

I just joined eclipse. Any reason for not going for them, i also have a referral code, JLPORTER33.

I'm on plus, so if you wish...

They've had a rough time of late as have many ISPs with ADSLMAX and LLU. I've not suffered except I no longer use my account's mailbox as GMail has better web facilities and still allows POP3 downloads.

Plus have recently striven to get things back on track, take a gander at http://usergroup.plus.net/ and see what you think. I'm on their BB+ product, my usage allowance is fine as I can do most of my big downloading before 1600hrs, their peak start. After that I don't notice any slowdown either. I don't use P2P or usenet so any policy they have on those features doesn't affect me.

My father in law is also on their service and he's happy.

Depending on where he lives they may have run out of space on the DSLAMs at the exchange he connects back to. This time last year it took me 6 weeks to get my net connection set up cos I had to wait for BT to source and install more DSLAMs into Lancaster telephone exchange.
