How do I turn those fekin bullets on?

To save you all the typing here are the arsy replies I'm sure your thinking of typing.

1) Talk dirty to them.
2) Stand in front of my gun.
3) Run at the enemy and wait.
4) Just look at a teammates back.
5) Drop dead.

Now for the real answers.... In the game I see no blood, no bullet holes and no sprays.... so what is the client side command to turn em all on? is it something to do with decals?

Can you see other people's sprays ingame? Check you haven't turned off decals, i.e. mp_decals "50" will show a combination of a maximum 50 bulletholes, gren marks, sprays etc.

i had the same problem 4 ages, it worked well on lans and i could c every thing but at home i had the same problem.
i have no idea what i did 2 make it better, although i think it was when i started messing about with the sprites.

mine was set to 300.000

This is the problem that was thrust upon my system without my permission by that unwelcome POS plug-in called WWCL when I visited another clan's match server about 2 months back. I still haven't figured out what to do - anyone remember how it is fixed?

I had the problem that sprays disappeared. It was solved by going from Driect3D to OpenGL.

Actually Albert is the hero. But a menage a trois seems feasible. 8O

He also told me some advanced settings in windows:

vsync off
16bit colour depth (depending on your card I guess)
and one more I cant remember.

That was the reason I jumped in and out of cs just before the match this thursday.

The bit you could not remember is to disable anisotropic filtering and to turn off anti-aliasing (or turn it down from 4x4). If you are using the latest Nvidia drivers (I have 43.00) then you can set card performance to "aggressive" on the Performance and Quality tab and don't forget to set your mipmap quality to blend rather than best quality (other versions of the driver will have some or all of these settings).

NB that the above will only address low framerate problems.

You may wish to download RivaTuner (for tweaking the nvidia drivers and for overcoming the 60Hz max refresh problem with games in XP) and the latest Nvidia drivers from the Graphics section of my ftp server
