When i was a small boy i read these over and over again. Excellent books by Tracy Hickman and Margeret Weis, and now they are finally getting filmatised

Wondering what im talking about?

Ofcoz the Dragonlance series with Raistlin, Sturm, Tasselhoff Buurfoot, Flint Fireforge and many many other. Arguably some of the best fantasy books ever written, and actually builld upon the Role Playing of the 2 writers

Movies are gonna be Cartoonic, not real, but they have a lot of good actors for voices, like Kiefer Sutherland as Raistlin, and Lucy 'Xena' Lawless as Goldmoon.

Gonna be real fun to see these on the big screen. Lets hope the budget doesnt ruin the movies

Oooooh, I loved those books, I bought tonnes of them, but haven't read them again for a couple of years now!!

Those series look like one hell of a good one  Maybe worth reading after I've read the whole Wheel of time, Wizard's Law, and Caesar series im reading atm
Though the one book I would LOVE to see turned into a (good) film is Magician of Raymond E. Feist. Was thinking of doing it myself inside the world of Azeroth but it takes waaaaaay too much time to do such a thing

I can't believe you left out Tanis in your original post

heh - me too - loved the series although by the end I thought they were somewhat milking it - Kender, Gully Dwarves and Gnomes (lol)

Have to say that I prefer Gemmell though - Druss, Waylander and friends - superb characters.

That's not to say I wouldn't watch it

Magician was awesome - i have the whole series and is one of the few series I do occasionally reread.

Tell me about it Blue, discovered Magician 1,5 years ago and read almost all of his books in the meantime. Every book is just a good read :D Though Magician and the Empire series are definately the top.
Still gotta read the newest one, which is always lend out when I check the library :(
