What's Hardcore Raiding?

Many argue that Silver Oak Guardians is not 'hardcore' raiding Guild and shoudl raid more often, others argue that we're hardcore as Raid Group 1 raids three times per week (RG2 raids twice per week).  However I have found a reasonable definition of what's hardcore by looking at the recruitment notice for another very well known Guild.

DnT is currently looking for a WARRIOR of the tanking variety. DPS gear is a bonus, but we are primarily looking for a very experienced tank with outstanding skills and gear. Maturity, patience, ability to follow orders and quick thinking / reaction time are all required along with a thick skin for when we will blame our wipes on "the new tank". Cross-server applicants are more than welcome.

Please, read and follow the recruitment guidelines on our recruitment boards if you are interested in applying. If you have applied in the past, there is no need to repost your application, but feel free to update it with any new and relevant information.

To cut down on the number of applications, please do not apply unless:

1. Your gear is well above tier 2, with several Dreadnaught pieces.
2. You MUST be able to raid from 7pm EST to 1am EST and from 5pm EST to when we pick our bloody faces up off the floor on weekends. You are expected to attend raids 6 days a week.
3. You MUST have a Mic/Ventrilo, and it's imperative that you speak on Ventrilo.
4. You MUST have prior raiding experience in Naxxramas up to the second tier of bosses. Experience and gear from "end-wing" encounters will work in your favour.

Okay that's is hardcore raiding, but everything less then this isn't hardcore raiding?
 
Personaly I would love to see an extra day of raiding (speaking for Rg2) that way we can make progression.....
 
But I'm just lucky that I can attend a lot.
 
BTW which tank will be leaving his current guild with all the experience and equipment that he has to even get close to the application?

Dear Bastet

Thank you for recent communication.  With regret, we must decline your application to join our Guild because we do not take rogues with only low level gear (your Tier 2 epics for example) and who can only raid a limited amount of time.  We have heard through the grapevine that you actually have a job in RL and this would preclude you from meeting our attendance requirements.  Please feel free to re-apply once you have decent gear and have not got a RL.

I don't like die-hard extreme guilds anyway.
 
SOG got pretty straight (sometimes anoying) rules, but not extreme like I see with Righteous and Anything (and other die-hard guilds on Azsune).
 
They might get far, but I can't imagine it is fun that way.
