Have you seen that wow-europe has a preview of the new LFG/LFM-system.

Nice, this allowes for turning off the biggest spam channel of them all, even if you are looking for a group.

Cant believe how long it took Blizz to find an appropriate system.

Did they just sit with their heads up their arses while deciding that a global LFG-channel would be a good idea? Seriously my eyes start to bleed 15sec after I join that channel! Looks mostly like GC when a new boss has been downed.

Saw this change earlier, looks awesome, should make getting groups much more efficient and stops the general spam hopefully....

It does look good, but also I wonder if it'll have enough flexibility for people. For example in the LFG channel you can say "LFG BRD, Have Shammy and Mage, need Tank, Healer and random", cos while you can pretty much (it seem to me) have any group you want in SM and other instances of a similar level, particularly if you have a couple of people over the normal level for the instance, with stuff like BRD and above you really do need a proper tank, and either a priest or two other healing classes, and the new system doesn't seem to have anything in place for saying what classes you require.

This is of course my experience, and my guild are largely in blues, or some of Tier 1 with maybe the Tier 2 helm at the most, as we've not downed Raggy or started BWL yet :-) Maybe if people are mostly epicced or Tier 2 equipped doing 5 mans without the 'correct' classes is less of a problem.

I agree though, you can't just go and instantly fix everything everyone wants.

for one going for a fast fix often brings up more bugs
second, what one person wants might conflict directly with what other people want.

to design, check and fully spec out a new system then put in the underlying framework is no easy matter, Blizzard do listen to people and do respond, but software is not instant, so it always annoys me when peopel have a go at blizz when something isn't fixed instantly.

something isn't to your liking, not they dont have their heads up their backsides, they are designing it properly.

kalimdor is down, lets bitch, they didnt intend the servers to go down, but you can bet your a$$ some poor guys are running round trying to figure out what is wrong, cut them some slack, they're only human. Anyone who has tried to find software bugs or implementing new features wouldn't be whining. it's not easy.

They actually do it on purpose.. And they aint human.. They're robots from the future capturing the entire mankind in Cyber-world, to catch them off-guard. The entire population of the world will soon be playing WoW and then they will strike. Noone will guard anything and nobody will notice untill the end of the world.. The only reason the servers are going down is because they want the first humans who're caught in WoW to spent some time without WoW.. That is not for the reason of mercy, but because they simply do not want the rest of the humans to become suspicious..

EDIT: Late hours at work are great for the making of such conspiracies xD
