The FMs have been discussing plans for MC and as a result of your decision to leave your raids days as they currently are, consider this as a project for a Wednesday night each week.  Unfortunately this will mean that whole Guild 20s will only be possible on Fri & Sat as all other days will host 40 person raids.

The FMs would like Marshalls' comments on this before it is approved for announcement to the Members.  Please post any comments on this proposal ASAP.

As an aside, this proposal also has the benefit of giving RG2 a way out of MC as whomever in the raid is still interested in MC kit may still attend the 'whole Guild' MC run.

There are one or two aspects of the proposal that the FMs have held back as they are not yet agreed, but these are unlikely to have any effect on the MC proposal in the immediate future and should not affect your thoughts on the proposal as stated.

There are one or two practicalities to consider and we are discussing how best these are dealt with at the moment, but we are asking for your comment on the principle at this stage not necessarily the detail of implementation!

Many thanks.

  • MC run to be open to both mains and alts and to the whole Guild.
  • MC run to be operated by Commanders.
  • MC raid places booked via the current 20s booking system
  • Commanders approve an appropriate class balance and quality of toons to give the raid a reasonable chance of success, as well as rotating those in each class to give them all a chance to attend.
  • The run would not be open to RG2 mains in a week in which MC was on the RG2 schedule
  • A rep-based system similar to ZG might work in this type of run. It rewards attendance with a better opportunity to get Epic loot.  This would not use or earn DKP, thus having zero impact on the current DKP standings.  Setting the required rep levels at say Friendly for Mains and Honoured for Alts should not prove too difficult to achieve for any character.
  • Legendary items - these would be prioritised to RG1 & RG2 mains and would have the attendant DKP cost where a main took the item as in these cases the Guild would be likely to support the cost of materials etc.  For set items (like Bindings) priority goes to those who already hold one of the set items.  Where a legendary item goes to a non-RG1/2 main then there would be no DKP cost and Guild Bank would not subiside the legendary item being crafted.
  • All non-epic drops go to Guild Bank to help cashflow.
  • All BOP recipes/patterns are given to a Field Marshall first, then a Marshall, then a Commander as first choice.  Where none are present or none need the recipe it would be an open roll to those in the raid.

Padding

Based on the following, i urge you to reconsider moving raid day from monday to tuesday/sunday.

I think its imperative that RG1 and RG2 raid on the same days, to keep things together and ensure raid progress. We have already seen the bad sides of having the raid days different, so i think our synergy would be so much more aligned, if we where raiding on the same days

At the moment, the only day to use for this 40 man MC raid is Wednesday, and thats *such* a bad day to use, due to patches, lag etc etc

Monday would be the perfect day to use for this

I'm not trying to pressure you to you do this, but just trying to indicate how i see things in the guild. Remember that its my own opinions, and not necessarily all field marshals

DarkAngel

I would like to have the day moved as well but:

A) We would first lose around 10 people plus those not voted and would have to have a mass invite for recruitment into RG2 and being that we are currently still learning BWL this would be a huge set back for us.

B ) It would set us back at least 3-4 Weeks and with the new Expansion coming out soon we would probally not finish BWL in time.

C) So if you want to change it should done be a majority vote on Marshalls in RG2 because in the end it is our raid. On the side line i would on tuesdays arrive around 2 hours late and cause upset to the raid. So my position as RL might have to change.

So lets vote....

Greatdanes

Only 36 people voted yes to move the raid, this to little to raid as 40 men.
We will lose so many people, then we can't raid for 3-4 weeks and since BC is on the way(2-3-4 month) we can't afford to miss 3-4 weeks of raiding now.
When BC is here, there will be a natural way to change days and groups.

Yes what GD just postet we discussed yesterday on TS within the Marshalls.

We could force a move of raiddays and we MAYBE would lose so many people that we face the fact we cannot raid BWL untill we are fully loaded with people again (2-4 weeks)
But the again, when TBC hits us, the natural cutback in raidgroup people will come, so here we could move it, but its hard to tell what the future brings. Those voted no is:
Collinn,
Gallahan,
Myanmar,
Sebas,
Sheperdbook,
Vanguish

People which are all from well representet class'es at every raid - So the question is, is this colleteral damage thats worth taking? - maybe these people, if we move to tuesday, will suddently have the time anyway?

It's a hard nut to crack- I dont see it happening. So no vote from me. The costs are to big atm.

OnTopic, great suggestion, I like it.

Siffredi

We also agree that we should have the same raiddays but its not going to happen at this time. We will wait until BC comes, so we just have to wait for it...

It's worth pointing out that some of those who voted No were supportiv eof a raid day change, but just not to Tuesday.

Yeah but some of the marshals are unable to attend on sundays - so thats why we ruled out that day since 2+ marshal as far as i remember could not make it on those days

Np, I've taken your decision as 'we're not moving atm' and we will act on that basis.  I echo what Padding said, you already knwo my views but your decision is your decision and that's what we'll work with.

Bastet

Adding to this i just thought up the next.

With new SOG One MC runs marshals could reconsider running MC at all, since RG2 members can join and get thier epics from those runs. Also preventing a problem with "He got it for free, and i have to pay dkp, this is not fair in BWL" wines.

Well, we already said at the start of this thread that I gives you a bail out for MC if needed.  You're in charge of the timing.
