Despite already having killed her twice our tactics are still evolving, as the whole night of wipes on her last night amply demonstrated.  One of the things under discussion is the meatshield we use and its NR levels.

We have decided the meatshield will be made up of Tanks, Rogues and Hunters only.  All Tanks are already at 294+ NR, but despite herculean efforts by a few, there are still some hunters and rogues at very low NR levels (not even just sub 250, but well below 150 in some cases).

We are therefore asking all RG1 Hunters and all Rogues to aim for 280+ NR by next week's AQ40 run (Sunday).

We know this is high, but it is doable - Nebuoh sat at 284 last night.  The question is not one of "I was one of the last people standing at the end of the fight so I'm ok with my 198 NR", it's more a case of how much mana a hunter or rogue takes to keep up during the fight.
The more NR you have, the less mana you will absorb from healers.
The more mana healers have the better the meatshield survives.
The better the meatshield survives the more healing gear and damage gear the rest of the raid can use.
And with that better damage and survivability comes a better fight against huhuran and ultimately her demise.

Healers are under massive mana pressure during this fight, so we need to focus on getting the meatshield to 280+ NR - if we can it will be a massive help.  If you're not sure how then ask your other class members.  Some of them already have it and it will allow people like me and Deadlyspirit to drop out of our totally nerfed but 300+NR gear into something more stats efficient.  Likewise, by not using the pallies in the meatshield we have more pallies healing and everyone survives better.

Do what you can folks, as we do not want Huhuran to become a block in AQ40 that repeatedly stops us having a crack at the Twin Emperors.

Many thanks.

hope you dont mind me adding, it might be worht considering getting some sylvan shoudlers made (cloth NR gear), slap a AD enchant on and you get another 25 NR, and no bloodvine needed!

Nope, not gutted, chuffed.  And the effort is appreciated - much as is the effort that other classes have to make for other fights elsewhere - and I speak from a position of experience here having got myself to over 315 NR.  Expensive yes, but worth every penny when it makes our tactics swing.

By my calculations that's at least 3 of our hunters who now hit the NR targets - let's hope the others get the message too.

currently on 229 unbuffed with aura, so 250+ buffed.  If I get gloves make that 270+, gloves + belt, 290+

Aspect doesnt stack w/ druid buff, therefor your aim is 240 with out or 300 with aspect. Or at least above 220/280 to make sure that you are healable.

Folks, thanks for the herculean effort (and expense) that went in to upping the level of NR within the meatshield (tanks, rogues & hunters).  There's still one or two people working on squeezing out that last bit of NR, but we had an awesome fight last night with Huhuran and killed her real smooth and controlled.  The extra NR on the meatshield allowed the healers ot be in pure healing gear and it meant the kill was a beauty.  Great job all!

Best of all it now means we get full night on the Twins!

As an aside, we also had out first 'proper' go at the Bug family and we got Lord Kri (the first of the bugs - we were doing the easy order, Kri, Yauj and then Vem) down to about 35% before healing and wandering siblings interrupted our attempt.  Personally I thought we learnt a lot about the fight and we're going to have some great attempts on them next time - possibly even our first kill as the early stages looked real controlled.

Also remember this, The more NR kit the more likely you are to make it true the fight, and if you dont make it, the more non epic NR stuff the cheaper your repair :)
