Hello all,
as i found out there are a few rules on boomer that are there to enhance the fun of the game, so far i have found out that sticking with your team to either protect or atack the objective is desired and also buying the AWM and autosniper is not reacted to very friendly so considering boomer will probably be swarmed with "noobs" due to aszune beeing down and i think a few might want to stick around

so is there a post with the formal rules or could someone post them here below so myself and perhaps other new guys dont ruin the fun and get yelled at ( altho last night i was politely asked to not use the AWM i picked up again and no harsh talk or anything)

Yep good idea, so here are some links to describe the Tactical Counter-strike (TCS) that we promote:

TCS - Introduction
TCS - Rules & Guidelines
AWM & Auto-sniper Rules

Hope these help!

That was me. I allready figured you didn't knew that rule.8)
Don't worry, the more you play, the more you learn the rules when to do what, what not use and such. Even a Veteran CounterStrike player went wrong on buying an AWM 1 round to early.

The mistake being the buying - we try to use any other method rather than AWM/Auto as the solution.

Well, that team was 3 rounds down, not yet 4.
But using an AWM/Autosniper should still be allowed after 4 rounds down. The reason why: In matches we are also allowed to use AWM's and such. For myself, I found out because we don't use them alot on our servers (because usually it doesn't get to 4 rounds down) that I'm not good at using an heavy snipergun. Then again, I need alot more practice in Source.

I refer the honourable CS Game Admins to the linked post above with the AW/Auto-sniper rules.  Don't buy just because you can.  That's what we try to avoid.  It's allowed, not banned, but avoided where possible.

Don't worry, you'll soon get the hang of it. The question to ask yourself is:

"Is what I am about to do in line with achieving the objective?"

The objective is always to help your mates and defend (bomb sites or hossies) or to help your mates and attack. When you are attacking (to plant bomb or rescue hossies) there are no limits other than map bugs. The limits are only there if you are the defending team.

TBH we asometimes deliberately break them - I've seen us getting absolutely thrashed so we did a knife rush and left the hossies - we got mullered again but it was done in the right spirit
