GTR² server ?

Did anyone try GTR2 yet?
Anyway, I'm blown away with this one, and i hope i'll see my favorite server in the lobby soon.

I'm afraid I've been disillusioned by all the ISI games to date so I don't see me getting it. Twice bitten, twice shy. Besides, I've heard conflicting reports on GTR2 some say great, some say dumbed down. At the end of the day the same things will still bug me eventually, access etc. :sad:

Shame for it's accessibility server whise.
No need to concentrate mostly on staying on track (like in GTR1) and you can actualy have close races with this one, so those who say that the physics were dumbed down are IMHO dumb.
If they ever saw GT race, they would see that those guys IRL have lots of close racing fun and get them selves out of tricky situations on regular bases (driving on the curbs or geting the car back in the straight line after a proper countersteer).

Long time no hear...

Well I'm one of those who thought it was too dumb'ed down. But having played it a bit more am slowly revising that opinion. I still think the mutiplayer code isnt brilliant, as I get car in front jekys when running close.

Even so I'm quite enjoying it. Trouble is i'm enjoying LFS and the V8 mod for rFactor more. :narnar:

I have hated rFactor since I got it, just felt unreal to me. But the V8 mod seems pretty good, though it could just be wishfull thinking because I love the V8's so much in real life, and I have only been running it offline.

Hey mate, long time indeed.
I agree about multiplayer part. The dedi server for GTR2 has to be at least 10+mb upload speed so that more than 16 people can race without lag. Small home servers are not up to the job and people can only get repeled from GTR2 by trying to race on souch servers.
Driving sensation, imho is just briliant, and i am weld up to it.
I tryed V8 for rF and there's no magic in it for me like in GTR. I just hate FFB in rF.
