Marshall - Job Description

List here all the things a Marshall does.  Please add to it, I just threw some things down as they came in to my head, I'm sure there are more.

TL.

Marshall Responsibilities:
RG2 DKP maintenance
RG2 Attendance maintenance
RG2 Pots requirements (advance notice to Guildybankee for mats and crafting)
RG2 Raid Leader
RG2 Raids - invites, class balance, running the raid itself
RG2 Loot collection and distribution to appropriate guild banks (if in doubt send it to Guildybankee and I will forward to the relevant account for storage)
RG2 Master Looter
RG2 AFK Officer
Defender Applications - review on a regular basis and accept or decline
Defender initiates - review after one month and advise a Field Marshall to either promote, kick or extend initiate period
RG2 Raid Strategy
RG2 Development - long term goals, where the RG is heading, problems that might arise with present course, solutions etc.  Plan ahead, consider the course set and make changes as required.  Think about it and havea solution ready before the members raise it as a problem.

Otherwise I agree on the list.
 
One question does RG1 leading personal have a meeting every week on TS. I would love that for RG2.

We meet pretty much several times per week, i.e. we discuss issues almost every day, but we have formal TS every few weeks when circusmtances demand, or weekly when applications are to be reviewed.

It's a shame not more people have replied though.

I think its a great idea having a meeting once a week on TS. Maybe just before a run?

Before run = bad idea.
 
We are focused on other things, and experience has showed that noone showes up anyhow, which is kinda bad attitude. But we should be able to meet 15-20 min before raids. Tho thursdays will be hard for me to do so. I work till 18, and are not home untill 18.30, then have to eat.
 
But mondays would be better, I might be able to log on TS around 18.30-45?

Tactics during raids - RG2
 
Different tasks.
 
Raid Leader
The person that leads the raid on Team Speak
This one should not be bothered with anything else than this. It’s important that this person is only focused on the RL duties. This will ensure less stress.
Setup Groups – See TL for macros perhaps?
 
Raid Overseer
This is kinda backup for the RL. Function of the person is;
Setup MT’s for boss / trash.
Oversee the raid preformance. (healing problems, raiddps, identify slackers, positioning and such)
Assist RL on boss kills. For example call Shields at domo, call tanks back at Sulf. Ect., assigning BR. etc.
 
Raid Manager
This person is doing AFK list and the Queue
Easily done with the old “pen’n’paper” method.
No need for this person to issue orders on TS, that the job for Leader + Overseer
 
 
Raid DKP
This person is doing Attendance, once at the start of each raid. The way it’s done is with the “Attendance addon”.
Ingame you type /attendance – and get the complete list of persons attending the raid. IMPORTANT NOTICE – Make sure you also add the RG2 members that are on queue / LIFO’ed out, since they were on time for the raid, but didnt get a spot. They still get the attendance point.
Raid DKP is done with the same addon, and add’et on the DKP / RG2 Attendance site.

Tho he can call loot on TS if he likes, otherwise use /rs /rw
 
 
At raid start the four different jobs will be assigned.
The Leader will issue orders on Team Speak (assisted by Overseer)
Manager + DKP + ML will not.

How about hand out "off raid" jobs? There was somekinda of this some times ago, are we still following this or do we need to resign thise jobs?
I will love to do "Applicantions" for example and advertising for open spots in RG2 on some other forums(Aszune, Blizzard)
