Greetings, My computer crashed, so i cant play World of Warcraft before i get some money for a new Grapic-Card... :sad:

I hopefully can play a little on my brothers computer, but that will not be much.

So that means that i gonna be away some weeks (until christmas)

Is there no Geforce MX2 budget card? They can run WoW smooth to just not with all the details.... take less get more.....
 
Or does you system only accepts PCI-X?

Its some cheap crap i brought(cost around 80dollars, or norwegian 400KR).... Radion 9550 i think, not that good with PC..

The computer auto-restarts afther a few minuts, and when i try to "play" wow, the monitor gets black and restarts or get a error message..


i think i just need to wait for christmas (money money:) )

I think you need to check your fans....cause I it has the simptons of cooling problems....
 
So clear those fan and passive elements....
 
BTW is it only with playing wow after 5 min?
 
If you want to find out the error, start eliminate things.
 
Drop the screen quality back to 800 x 600 and also the detail level and viewing distance.
 
The lower the screen resolution the more processor time consuming.
 
Just my two copper. BTW try an different power supply....or cut down on devices (CD-ROM, DVD, Harddrives)...

Sounds an awful lot as a problem I've had a couple of times and it has been the cooler.. First time I just found a big lump of dust in my fan, and second time Im not sure what it was, but got the CPU, motherboard and cooler changed and that helped..

i can't even start the game...   ..as i said, i just get an error, or the monitor fades to dark, and afther a while the pc restarts :g:  

I got an "server", so i can cheack ingame mail..but not more than that....

Think i need to buy a  new 3d-card...but i dont got any money:sad:

as nef said, tkae it out, make sure it's clean as a whistle and gets lots of airflow.

check bios settings, put them into lowest/stable settings (vga/ram/etc)

put graphics settings to lowest

check other 3d games (if its just wow, try reinstalling since there might be a wierd error)

change irq's for the pci/agp slot, sometimes windows does odd things. have you added *any* new hardware recently? or even software

just that problem that it restart automatic evry minute, and if it doesn't restart i cant run any game:sad: , only errors, or the pc shout down automatlicy:sad:

Got a Radeon x800XT and got to say i never had a better graphic card!
 
Can still remember... got my job and my first payment... 6.500 dKr. Wauw..
Allready preordered the new card and it came with the post the day after.. i spent 4000 dkr. on it.. AWSOME! and still use it.. can say works perfect, just all my other system parts are slowly getting older

My new card depends on the computer I get from my work somewhere next month....I hope it will be a good one....

Hmm, two people with properly working ATI cards ... strange. You either don't play many different games or your just really lucky :narnar: . I'm with Umbra on this one, just avoid them.
