Red Steel is ok, but not great, I think the reviews are spot on. No online multiplayer and you can't run around with the sword, you only get to use it in select battles. I'm going to be trading this one in (once I have completed it).

Zelda is a must buy, its fantastic. It's got at least 70 hours of play. I have done the first dungeon which has taken me about 7 hours.

Also Wii Play has been fun for more mini games. Plus you get a controller. There's also CoD 3 which might be fun.

Games on my want list are Mario Galaxies and Metroid Prime 3, but these won't be about until next year. I will also buy the mario party when/if it comes out. I am also on the look out for good multiplayer games such as a Mario Tennis/Football title.

I must admit i'm really wanting to give CoD3 a try, just to see how someone like me who's always been dead set against console FPSes due to the lack of mouse find the Wii control mechanism. I think it could be even better than the PC system once you've got used to it, but I could never get the hang of the dual joystick system used on the other consoles for FPSes.

Redsteel feels pretty good (its an fps), it's only wierd because the cursor doesn't stay in the centre of the screen. When you move the cursor to the outer edges the character will start to turn.

I would much prefer it that the cursor stays in the middle and the entire screen moves. Maybe CoD3 will have a fixed cursor.

edit:

oh you can actually set the size of the cursors box and reduce it, but I don't think theres an option to make it stay central, I will check next time i play.

the Wii costs around £180 and that comes with 1 wiimote and the nunchuck controller, plus wii sports (few mini games).

I doupt you will find one befor Christmas though, unless you want to buy one off ebay for £300-£500.
