For QT and RA player alternatives including every other codec you could think about I would go for the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack.

Has everything you could need.

It also includes a DVD player and MediaPlayer classic.

I use most of the same programs as Smilo.

Personally I still use Kerio Personal Firewall 2.15. It's a rules based Firewall that gives total control over every firewall rule. That is also the reason why it requires a PhD in Geekness to make it work :blink:

Sort of. If you understand rules based firewalls it's hard to beat. That being said it's not been updated for several years and there are a few vunerabilities. However it's a solid firewall and I like it as part of a broader security policy
