I see I've gotten access to this part of the forum as well, and I've got some observations and questions:

* I don't see I have any moderator rights - is that yet to be done, or will those kind of rights be limited to a few only?

* I notice now the two sections SOG archive and General - I guess the SOG archive is meant to be everything PGT (Pre Gorion Time :flirty:), and we make up a new forum structure we can have a "fresh start" on?
(Very nice to have the archive though, I've only been briefly browsing it a bit, and there seems to be many good resources that can be used!)

* Since I (and I suppose Lucian and Spiritus as well) have been granted access to this part of the forum - does it mean that we'll be keeping it - the forum I mean?

* If I wasn't a bit skeptic in advance when I said yes to become an officer, now that I've seen the enormous amount of posts and work there is in the SOG War Room, I'm terrified :blink:
But as of now and what I've heard and we've been talking to, we'll be starting off quite easy, with the main (and only?) focus being getting the guild united, stable and back up running in a proper way?

As for moderation rights, them are done seperatly by TL, and i think he just forgot :doh:

As Bastet said, I forgot :blush:  Moderator rights to the whole of the World of Warcraft section (not just SOG) have been granted.  Please use them wisdely as I know you will.

Correct.  Everything in the archive is pre-G and nothing has been deleted, you have full access.  In the short term if you need the physical structure of the forums changed just set out what you need and I will try to arrange it thus.

As yet nothing has been settled and I am working with Gorion and the dMw Admin team on a solution for both parties.  All I can say here is that I am doing my best to help SOG but we need some time to look at possible solutions.  We are already doing this and I am sure Gorion will inform you as soon as we have anything further to discuss.

Yes there is a lot of work there, but a lot was generated by raid groups and the sheer size of the SOG beast.  With the wisdom of hindsight we should never have let SOG grow so big as that's where the relationships between members became lost.  A much smaller guild with members who actually know each other should provide you with a much more solid core to move forward and a lot less admin work in the long term. I will of course continue to help out in whichever way I am able to assist.

Finally, as a Head Admin for dMw I do get to see these forums as I have full admin rights over the entire forum, however may I please reassure you that (a) I tend not to read these forums now in any case as I expect you to be doing the moderation and (b) that anything I do read here is kept entirely confidential.  I do not pass any info to other people, I do not act in any capacity for any other guild, so please feel free to ask me a question or to invite my comment if needed secure in the knowledge that any conversation here remains in this private forum sction and is not passed on to anyone else.

I hope this helps and sincerely wish you all the very best of luck with consolidating SOG and moving it into a successful tenure in TBC.

I don't know about the others, but I for one wouldn't mind that you hang around here. I know that I have never had any previous experience with leading a guild, and as far as I know, the only one that have done something like this is Gorion (correct me here if I'm wrong), so if you from time to time have some of your wisdom to share, that will be highly appreciated

Bastet is still in the guild with Sokhar and Bastet, and I see you're still here with Guildybankee (don't know if that is permanent or what?), and for a short time untill we get this thing up and running in a stable way, I wouldn't mind having both of you as some kind of "mentors" we could ask for guidance and advice if needed - if you don't mind

Obviously I don't have any problems with either of you sticking around, in fact I'm quite sure we'll value your input should you have comments!

My experience as far as guilds go is limited, but I've had a lot of experience in administrating university sports clubs so should be able to draw on that a little. Suppose I'll cool down a little on my rants now!
