ive just spoken to menedil and asked about the sog/genesis ingame chat channel, he thinks its a good idea

what do you think? this will help partying and talking to old friends will be made easyer

Well, that sounds like a good idea. And if people type /joine and the channal, they will join automatically everytime they log on:P

Does anyone know what kind of options there are for making such a channel?

Cause if it's gonna be the same way as the class channels we've used earlier (SoGDruids etc), that those will in practice be open for everybody on the server...

Well I'm glad to see that this idea has been followed up but as Bob says and I did initially point out; do we have any method of privatising the channel?

Sounds like a great idea! And i think you can restrict players in the channel.

i doubt i would join such a chat, i hardly read guild chat as is and far prefer to just grab some1 on a whisper. Its eazyer to get a good conversation going there. Also, there is a lack of on screen room here :doh:

its not required to join the channel, on the other hand, it will be easyer to find a party. and who doesnt prefer ex members then pugs?

Exactly. On a number of occasions I've found myself whispering Voretex looking for Genesis healers, or tanks or whatever for an instance. We could just call it our guild LFG channel or something...
