Le Rouge

True, not a master piece. But for its genre - absolutely fine.
This naturally comes as a surprise, as Rocky V was a disaster and in fact one of the worst films ever made (maybe only Mandarin is worse - don't even ask...).
Eventually, this film is exactly what you would have expected from it, plus you won't believe that stalone himself wrote and directed the whole movie, as some of the text is actually well written and well directed.
Again - good for its genre, well worth of a DVD rental.

Dr Sadako

3 of 5. A worthy ending to the Rocky story.

Somehow I've managed to see none of the movies in the rocky series :g:

Yup a not at all bad movie. Stallone wrote the original Rocky movie and was Oscar nominated for writing and as lead actor. I think it's real sad that Stallone will probably be remembered for being a  slow dim witted talentless action star. When in fact the man is highly intelligent and clearly can both write and act pretty well. He was great in Cop Land and in this film too. And I remember him doing good work in Paradise Alley and FIST early in his career, both of which he wrote as well. Even the original Rambo film (also written by him) was pretty good. Of course dillute that down with the rest of the dross he churned out and his good work is easily forgotten

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.
