Recommended Raid Addons

With SOG's first Karazhan run imminent I thought it was worth putting down a few mods that pretty essential/useful. I'd suggest everyone makes sure they have them for the raid tonight, it will no doubt help!

BigWigs boss mods
Grid (and if you are a healer Grid LayoutsforHealers)
KLH Threat Meter (aka KTM)
Decursive
oRA2 (a much better replacement for CTraid)
SWstats (a configurable meter which synchs with all other SWstats in the raid and enables accurate performance analysis)

Raid UIs:
You can use the Blizzard one if you want, many people use sRaidframes, but I recommend taking a look at Grid, it saves a HUGE amount of real estate and is highly configurable.

Make sure your UI is configured to show casting bars of target and target's target etc. Or use Nature's Enemy Cast Bar etc.

All of the above are Ace'd up, so use minimal CPU overhead and memory.

Have you tried BigWigs bossmods? We find those to be the best at the moment

Aye it is good too, I have both installed as the warnings and pre-cast warnings are slightly diff, but they seem to run ok at the same time. But if most people already have DBM.......

finaly managed to instal me new windows overnight and gonna try all the new mods when i come home from work. hope ill be ready for tuesday's raid :narnar:

I have edited and updated the list to include:

BigWigs boss mods which is imo now better than Deadly Boss Mods (so it got replaced) and also Grid which has replaced ag_unitframes as my prefered raid UI. As an aside, ag_unitframes is also speculated to be the addon currently repsonsible for client lock ups when you log in again and are already in a raid and in a raid instance.

For healers get Grid and Grid LayoutsforHealers template - simply awesome!
