hmm.. What to do, what to do?

My lock is nearly lvl 70 now, and Im looking for some useful spec..

I've lvled him up with a felguard spec, but wanted to try something else, so the other day I respecced to affliction..
I like quite a few things with it, for instance I can actually run around with mana all the time without using Lifetap, but Dark Pact instead..
But although its useful in some situations, like soloing the 3-man quest in BEM where waves of 2-3 ogres comes at you (Instant howl of terror, deathcoil and fear + loads of dots), I find it rather boring.. No real action.. Dot a mob and fear it, maybe fire a shadow bolt and wait for it to die, then run over and loot it (unless Curse of Exhaustion or Recklessness is used the buggers can run pretty far away)..

Im considering a Ruin build, but the high crits can cause some aggro problems in when in groups or raids..

Ill be keeping my affliction spec for a while to test it fully (hopefully in some instances aswell), but I was wondering if any of you guys have any suggestions?
Ill be looking for a Demon/destruction build, problem is I can't get both felguard and ruin, so Ill have to choose either one of them..

It depends on what you want to do really. Solo the felguard is nice, but in any other situation I'd go deeper into the destro tree.
 
If I were you I'd look at the profiles of the top locks on the server, to see if any of them have a spec that resembles what you're looking for. You might get some good ideas from there :flirty: .

Well, im full destruction 0/8/53 and i dont really have any problem of aggro managment during raids and criting around 3.5K-4K is real nice.
 
There are others top level locks in SoG that are in a half betweeen affliction and destruction, it depends.
 
Felguard is nice to solo play and leveling, but once you are at 70 i found full destro to be a more enjoyable form of gameplay, and you can kill real fast mobs while soloing too.

Well, im looking for a max-dps build myself, and ways to get that damage going high. I have some in affliction, some in demo and some in destro. I like the build. Nightfall, ruin, ISB, the works. Gives a high amount of dps, and high amount of health back. When im grinding/soloing ie get 15% health back when killing a mob while draining life, and raiding/grouping ive got that ISB that proces more and more, and shadowburn. I have also got improved deamon armor/fel armor for that extra boost.

I need to get my DoT rotation good tho, cutterntly im tossing CoA, immo, corr and SL then a couple of SB rinse and repeat. If ANYONE got a better idea, feel free to toss it at me
