Nothing of any real value comes from playing video games. Seriously, how many of us here actually profit from it? Not me, never will.
Much money loss, a.k.a. LAN, but then again a great community in return. :flirty:
For the rest, I do game quit a bit when I can, used to be hooked on CZ during my schoolyears a bit. But I never let it intervean with other important stuff like appointments and such.
For saving money I do intend to game a bit on Friday-evenings and such (that used to be everytime to the pub...).

Quote from: Eternaluk;190526Also Exo, since you got the Pc gamer mag, wanna play with me and Tech for a bit on CoH?- City of Heroes, you get a free 14 day trial. (Might be 15 days, I can't remember tbh.)

I would like to give you guys a go at CoH, unfortunately I am pre-disposed of my internet resource until the 6th June, *cough* banned *cough*. But if you guys haven't already installed it, (which is unlikely I guess :D)... then sure I would like to.

Quote from: Eternaluk;190526It's kinda odd I think, since I get about 26+ (Say 1-4 hours a day.), but I've only got 16 points.
Find that kinda odd, but I guess 'being on the computer' doesn't really count as gaming.

Hmmmm, I know that generally before I broke up for study leave, I was pretty much playing every night from about 7:30 - 12:00. . . . Not too healthy me thinks.

The LAN's are different IMHO.

The dMw LAN's are a social gathering that also includes gaming. In between yelling at you lot for killing me and to get your bums in seats for the next compettition, I'm at the bar socialising.

While there's a lot of gaming going on for the hardcore, this is more of a Lad's weekend.

Well, me and Tech have got a MONTH free on the game, since We (I!) Bought the game(For us both...).
It's great fun, but I guess it's your own personal prefrances in the end.

If and when you do get round to playing on it, my charecter name(s) are, Shadow-Bringer, Respire and Hardbringer.

Okay. I do have three diffrent characters. :D, and I've kinda come to a conclusion, the Blaster is much stronger than my level 13 charecter was at a level 9. (The Blaster-Long ranged person-is level 4-5 now.)

*Pokes Exodus in the direction of This Thread. :D* This should be everythin gyou need to know. But also, as for the gamer thing, what's counted as average in this community? I mean, (Not to be nosey.) but how often to most people spend playing game/on the computer? (Even if it's for work.)

I think tbh that everyone in this community will have varying times they spend gaming. They will be no particular average, as for me, I can say that I did spend nearly every-night on the servers, up until very late in the evenings. I'd imagine that those with careers will not be able to spend as much time, as compared to those in education who shouldn't have enough time :sideways:, but for some reason do.

I know that once I get into my desired career It will be more challenging to get on to play as often.

Nefertem

yep.. I spend quite a lot of time gaming (pretty much just WoW these days), but with my job I can afford it.. I just put in some products each day from 8am to 4pm.. Then I go home and can spend the rest of the day as I desire.. But some people are traveling a lot or have changing work hours..

Im also quite certain that the guys here who got a family (wife, kids and pets etc) spend less time on gaming, and spend more time with the family.. I just gotta take out a few hours each week to be social with my friends.. On top of that I live in a foreign country, so the majority of my friends and family are taking care of themselves home in Denmark, which means I spend more time on gaming that I would if I were living in Denmark.

Im currently planning to return to Denmark and start an actual education, which also means that when I start that my gaming time will go down.. And if I get into the education Im considering (starting in 1 year though), my gaming time will probably go down a few hours each weekend..

With you on that one. Mostly a Lad's weekend with some good gaming as bonus when you are too stuffed to move anywhere or even drink... did I write that
