SOP: Recruitment

To get all the confusion out of the applications process, here is a dummys guide:
 
Step 1a:
Applicant use the web form to apply and the application automatically gets posted into the Applicants topic. Members have up to 5 days to comment.
 
Step 1b:
Once the application is 5 days old it should be moved to the 'Work in progress' forum under the correct rank of application in the War Room Recruitment section. The post will remain here for a day to allow Field Marshals to add thier thoughts.
 
Step 2:
The Field Marshals in charge of recruitment meet and discuss applicants and confirm a decision via TS or forum post in the applicant's thread.
 
Step 3A:
Applicant is accepted, topic title is suffixed with: ACCEPTED
Update the Recruitment Requirements thread to show one less of that class.
The thread is moved to the Work In Progress topic to show that an invite is outstanding
One of the following PM's is send IG to the applicant:
 

I am pleased to inform you that following a meeting of the Officers of the Silver Oak Guardians you have been accepted as an Initiate member of our Raid Group 1. Please would you whisper any SOG officer for an invite to the Guild as soon as possible.
 
You should also post on our forums requesting access to the SoG Member's section once you have joined the Guild.
 
We look forward to raiding with you.

Step 3b:
Applicant is put on hold or declined, the topic title is suffixed with: HOLD/DECLINED
The application is moved to the appropriate class topic (for Hold) or Class Trash Can (for declined)
Applicant is sent an IG PM with the following text.
 

I am sorry to have to inform you that following a meeting of the Officers of the Silver Oak Guardians your application to join our Guild has not been successful. Thank you for your interest in SoG.

Step 3c:
Once all the applicants that where due are sorted out, please make a post in the recruitment section stating which are to be invited, so that other officers can look if they get contacted.
If a accepted member is invited, the officer who invited will add a post to the thread, and adds the rank to the initiates public note (Soldier etc) and the join date to the officers notes (11/09/07 etc).
 
Step 4:
When the member is invited their application thread must be moved from the WIP folder to the Class Accepted folder.
 
Step 5:
Request forum access for invited member when a account is given through the request access thread. (Work in progress, coming soon)
 
Step 6:
If a member decides to move on from SOG, please request forum access to be removed. (Work in progress, coming soon)

which is done now, there are several new stickys in marshals upwhich any field marshal can act.
