In the description of the Application sub-forum, it says:
QuoteNew applications to SoG will be posted here for members to comment. After 5 days these posts will be removed to the Officer's private channel so that any new member will not see an existing member's comments about them (whether positive or negative)
Could you change that to 4 days TL, so that it is correct according to what we wrote in the sticky?
And also for my own personal quest, could you change SoG to SOG while you're at it?

Thanks :flirty:

Quote from: Gorion;195537SoG is prettyer then SOG imo :P
#1: no, not at all
Yes, I am correct, I know all, I rule! Bob rocks!!!

#2: not only does SOG look better, but SoG is totally wrong as well. Abbreviations written in the fashion UPPERCASElowercaseUPPERCASE are used when you have two "main words" connected by some short word, such as a preposition or an adverbial. Examples would be World of Warcraft (WoW), Area of Effect (AoE)), or even with more letters, such as Gift of the Wild (GotW) or Voice over IP (VoIP).
When you on the other hand have abbreviations that contains all "main words", all letters are written in UPPERCASE. Examples are Silver Oak Guardians (SOG), Local Area Network (LAN) and Role Playing Game (RPG). So if you write SoG, that would be something like Silver of Guardians or similar :learn:

And did I btw say that SoG looks totally retarded? :narnar:

Well, gaming clans have always had a thing for writing their names (and abbreviations) in strange ways.

And btw, I just noticed that in the description for the Announcement sub-section, it also says SoG at one point... No rush though, I'm just saying :flirty:
