Sounds either like a rapper-name or a pseudo-1337 h4xo0r name. Either way, having that as your real name will probably not be of much benefit to your self esteem when growing up, since kids tend to mock kids with names they consider "weird" (foreign names would be a good example), 4real being one that would be weird not only to kids but to pretty much anybody besides his (or her?) silly parents. :2cents:

Edit: Just after leaving our beloved forums, I visited somethingaweful.com as I often tend to do, only to find that on their front-page advertisement for their own forums was a link to this thread. Nice coincidence if you ask me. By the way, people not registered on those forums are not able to see most curse words, but instead of them being "bleeped out" with those star things (***) the words are replaced by other ones that make little to no sense at all unless you know that that is in fact happening. Just pointing that out because it might be a bit confusing.

Actually I'm pretty serious about this.
Some people seem to type it after every sentence they type, even after someone made a decent reply, they reply with that smilie. It looks like your dissing the previous poster.
I've allready hinted GMJR to stop posting every reply with that smilie.

Well I reckon thats what its for (to make it you can just write nar.nar, which would be the sound for that imo).. on a friendly basis ofc.. Although overuse of them could make them a tad annoying..
The post by noevra with 'What is? :narnar:', Id consider the 'right way' to use it, as he's teasing you and your post about not making them..
When I first I think I used that particular smilie as a replacement for the = P  (same but with a non-moving tongue if you know what I mean :ohmy: )

I tend to use smilies in most of my messages (unless very serious) as its all written, so people don't know what tone Id use for it in RL, and might misunderstand.. putting a smilie in somewhere can help avoid that..

I know what you mean though Duvel, although I don't get that annoyed of it :)


EDIT: meh..  =P with ':' instead of '=' becomes the :P aswell.. prolly why I used it as such in the beginning..

It's because sometimes someone replies with a decent answer and the one answering after him replies with that. Makes you almost think twice about posting something serious or so again.
Probably my "nettiquete" is a bit high but then again , youngsters these days start to use that SMStextstyle in complete sentences and so.
Proper language and so is noted high in my book so also on forums.
