I like to "think" using blackboards and such. I don't have one, so I've used paper for a while. Now, do that for 3 months and you have tons of notes. That suck. Badly.

I then found the mentioned program and I like it! Downside - it costs a fortune (AND I am broke working almost 24/7 on my paper). And come on, all it does is link little boxes basically... Anyone who knows a freeware equivalent?

Program I'm talking about is this

Any suggestions greatly appreciated :)

Edit: Sorry for being a dumb ass. Wrong section  Oh, and, I've tried 'Freemind'. It sucks.

I think he has already made up his mind about that one.

TeaLeaf

Yep, but it's what I use.  So which features are you looking for that Freemind does not provide and that you need?

It takes comparatively long time to make the dyades. You just doubleclick to add a new joint in MM, right click to chose menu of subs to add sub-bullets. It works incredibly fast comparatively, imho.

Well excuse the **** out of me for trying to help.

I've tried Google and it works - maybe you could give it a go.

Sorry doggers, I added that before you guys did your posts. Otherwise I wouldn't have put it like that :)

I've googled as well and that is what gave me Freemind as the best freeware alternative atm.

Mind mapping was a big thing in the second half of the eighties in Scandinavian teaching. I remember some teachers thought it to be the best thing since sliced bread but I never really thought it to be that good. Well, it didn't suit my way of learning things at least. Cool to see a program doing it though.

I dont follow the rules of mind mapping for the same reason. I just use it my own way, a bit like a blackboard.
