Virtual theft is a growing issue in virtual worlds; in 2005 a Chinese gamer was stabbed to death in a row over a sword in a game.

Shanghai gamer Qiu Chengwei killed player Zhu Caoyuan when he discovered he had sold a "dragon sabre" he had been loaned.

Me wonders...

Not sadder than having it off with your bike surely? I've heard the expression 'She's an old bike' but didn't realise how true it was. :lmfao:

EDIT: I suppose it was HIS bike and not knocking off his mates bike. The cad!

While virtual theft is obviously an incredibly stupid comcept, even though it can lead to actual violence, at least this specific case had this
Quote from: ArticleIt is a theft because the furniture is paid for with real money
to make it somewhat reasonable (the arrest, not the stealing of furniture from Habbo Hotel, which is still pretty stupid and can't possibly be justified, ever).
Quote from: Blunt;213075not as silly as this .

Git, as soon as I recognized the title bar on the site i nearly choked on my drink.:lmfao:

I really dont think it was neccesary for them to arrest the "thieves". What a waste of police time, which they could be spending time sorting out people with strange likings to bikes as blunt mentioned

Me too, how could annyone sell a loaned dragon sabre  i mean he knew it was the only one on the server.

but serieusly, i think its good they begin chasing down cyber criminals, but to start with habbo hotel :sideways: I mean there are so much other cases in the real world that aren't solved, or even looked at, even the smaller crimes like that but then irl (mate of mine got ripped with a couple of others, from there Magic Cards, collective damage 10.000 euros, police haven't done anything about it)
